Challenge 164: Rainbow Pass-it-On 2
Friday, December 16th, 2022 04:45 amThe new theme is...
Rainbow Pass-it-On 2
For this challenge, as suggested by
This time we can use the modern rainbow not the Newtonian one. So we combine blue and indigo and add cyan after green!
These are the seven colors:
1. Red, 2. Orange, 3. Yellow, 4. Green, 5. Cyan, 6. Blue, 7. Violet (Purple)

Special Rules for Challenge 164:
Make 1 icon each time of the current color that is following the previous icon posted by someone else.
Please follow the order of rainbow colors above, going from 1-7.
That's red through violet and back over again in an endless loop!
Enter up to 21 times per person.
If you have made an icon for a color but missed the chance to post, you'll have to wait for the color to come back around.
The Dreamwidth server has been wonky lately so you may have to refresh your browser to see the latest posts.
Other:
Purple isn't a spectral color but it's close to violet to human eyes, so we can use either for violet.
It is not required to add the words in parenthesis to your subject lines or posts, those are just for clarification of the color differences.

Date: Thursday, 22 December 2022 05:51 (UTC)You're welcome. This was a tough question to answer I think need more coffee. 😄
Ancient mythology, folklore, fairy tales or legends are all right to use. Ancient gods like Anubis, Aphrodite, Hercules aren't really religions anymore & have been in fictional works for centuries.
This one? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solomon%27s_shamir
You'll have to decide. If you think it's part of anyone's religious faith, in the present day, then it's not allowed. If it's mythology or legend it is allowed.
What the rule means mostly is no icons of real life (modern day) religion topics. So, no using religious faiths as "fandoms" for real world religious leaders like real-world popes, televangelists, etc. And, no icons of modern day real-life religion or faith-based quotes from scriptures like the Bible, Torah, Quran, Book of Mormon, etc.
Philosophy quotes would be okay, but not things that are specifically pro or anti towards any real-life religion either, like, for example, icons of quotes from Richard Dawkins about religion.
Icons of popular holidays of religious origins are allowed, if the icons fit the themes. So stock photos of things like Hanukkah decorations, Xmas trees, Easter bunnies, Halloween candy, Diwali lights, etc. or fandom icons of TV shows and movies about characters celebrating holidays are all allowed.
If you like learning about drawing I think you'd like
drawesome, they have some great challenges for drawing & art. I'm not sure what kind of digital art they allow these days.
