Iconthat is an icon making challenge community for all fandoms.

Rules!


>> Approximately every two weeks there will be an icon competition, with various themes or topics. Screen caps might be provided or inspirations might be posted.

>> Icons entered in the challenges must be made new for every challenge and created by the person who enters.
Please do not use other people's graphics/edits to make icons, such as Tumblr graphics that you did not create.

>> Icons should be all new for iconthat & not previously posted elsewhere for any other challenges, communities or journals/blogs.

>> Icons may be still/static or animated images. Animation of icons must be done as decorative animation [example with Baby Yoda]. Simple frame loop GIF icons [example with Tamatoa the Crab] are not allowed as entries.

>> Icons will be submitted & voted on and winners will be announced afterwards.

>> You can enter as many icons as you like, up to the challenge limit.

>> Icons must fit the Dreamwidth standards: No bigger than 100x100 pixels, 60 KB, in either PNG, JPG or GIF format.

>> Specific & current rules for each challenge will be in the challenge entry/post.


>> Please remember, this community is open to anyone old enough to have a DreamWidth account.
Images that are NSFW, 18+, or for only adults/mature audiences are not allowed as challenge entries.
This applies only to the images posted to the community and not the content ratings of the source media material (movies, etc.).

>> Added July 2023: Using AI illustrations
If you enter icons made from AI art, the icons must fit same rules as for any stock photo/art icons entered. The image used to make the icon must be edited in some way (other than crop, resize) by the human being entering the challenge.

Can I join?

Of course you can, all users regardless of your icon abilities can join, we'd love to have you join in!!!

Do I have to enter every challenge?

Absolutely not, you can enter any challenge whenever you would like.

Can I use any fandom?

Yes! Any icon, fandom or stock is welcome.


Is there a set schedule?

Kind of. Currently, as of September 2020, the icon challenges run for two weeks or more, voting & results are then done.

This may change at anytime as it is up to the maintainer/moderator(s) to organize challenge.

May I post promotions of other communities, etc.?

No. This is not a community for promotion. Sorry, members may not post promotions or advertisement of any kind. Sometimes admins will make posts including promos for other related communities.
