How do people usually do these things? Make the .psd, & then try to remember why they did each step? Or do they write them as they go?

i had a .psd saved from like, a year ago that i knew i had uploaded so i just outlined that one

but i never save .psds unless i have a reason, so if i do it in the future, i might pick a particularly good icon and do that again. we'll see if i make any good icons. :D
