The Dark Side


For this challenge your icons should be dark, grungy, gritty or dull - the not so bright side of life! Doesn't mean you can't have colour, could be high contrast or muted tones. High blacks, texture, drab, dreary, dark screencaps, etc etc. Definitely a slightly more tricky challenge, give it a go! :)

Haha it's not my thing either, but we haven't had a challenge like this before so it's worth a go!

It's interesting to me that more than one person thought this is a challenge, because you could never tell from the icons, and also, I have the opposite issue. (Make an icon in this exact shade - how about no? I love colour, too, but it doesn't always work for me as inspiration.)

My default is definitely to lighten and make colour pop, so it was a challenge, but i think it's definitely something i should play with more often!

Thanks for using my icon in the inspo! This theme made me think to make icons of Vader or Anakin but I wound up with no villains in the end. 😄
