Date: Monday, 4 October 2021 20:22 (UTC)First off - yes, Land of Art is only on Livejournal.
The community has never not been active. It has about two phases per year, sometimes more. I actually had to talk to sgafirenity, the head mod, about your specific case, as I only recalled you being there for a short time.
And according to her, you left the comm on your own at some point in April or May 2020, after being pointed out that (a) you can't post what you want on the comm (only art in response to the challenges), and (b) that one of the artworks you posted for a challenge wasn't fitting, which in turn led to some not really friendly comments from you, and subsequently, you leaving the comm altogether.
Now, I think we all can agree that 2020 was a year from the seventh circle of Hell, and so, sgafirenity has made it possible that you can reapply for a team. But be warned - we won't tolerate any of this behavior, not one minute. So please think twice if you can follow the few rules of the comm or not before signing up.

Date: Saturday, 16 October 2021 09:12 (UTC)As far as the chosen phraseology in the "possible" invitation (i.e., "we won't tolerate any of 'this behavior,' not one minute"): I am a fricking grown woman who ministers to the homebound of her church and tries to hold her mother together through the denial/grieving/stress process. The last thing I need is someone talking to me like I've been some errant child over such minor--I'm not even going to dignify them by calling them offenses.
No, I said good-bye to that community, and the person who originally invited me there apologized to me in a private message and said, "That's just how (sgafirenity) is." I can say with pride that no one has ever had to make apologies for me like that, but I have now encountered a total of four women in fandom who do require that kind of buffering.
I found another community where they are much more open-minded and view art as the free distraction/release it is; but, alas, they have had to go on an indefinite hiatus because of the owner's personal life. And, being the person I am, I sent her a private message telling her I had said a prayer for her for peace and strength. You know, because I'm a jerk who doesn't read rules before joining a community and then proceeds to break them without thought...because I've never owned or moderated a community or group and dealt with behavioral issues in my community's members. (Really? I mean...really?)
I'm not saying I don't have issues, but they're not the kind to be handled with harsh words or a figurative spanking. I do hope you and sgafirenity find the way to peace, wellbeing, strength, and...humility.
God's peace be with you both. Please consider this conversation closed. I will block anyone who contacts me regarding it. I've had my fill of BtVS/AtS cyberbullies for one lifetime, thank you, and I will block anyone who starts a harassment/hate campaign against me across Interwebs groups because of their own inflated egos/mental issues (re: past cyberbullies). Seriously, though: I wish the both of you well and hope you stay safe in this crazy world. God be with you both.
p.s. I also am one who waits to hear both sides of the story before judging a person based on another's word. Can you say the same? As far as I know, sgafirenity and I were the only ones privy to our private messaging. I can tell you with certainty that I said nothing that was meant to be unkind; people often perceive my speech patterns that way because I have ASD, but I've gotten pretty good at stopping myself and doing self talk before sending a final draft if I'm upset. Sometimes I even push my chair back, go knit for 20 minutes, and then come back to write. So, I dare say she inferred unkindness on my part; there was none there--only hurt and confusion. I left the community because it was bringing me down, and when a person has severe depression already that is considered toxic and must be removed from the lifestyle.

Hi there!
