This was such a wonderfully warm palette. I sadly couldn't figure out a fandom that fits it, so I floundered a bit. (Stumptown really wanted to be cool and blue this week... hm.)

I kinda got sucked into that karaoke session again. I can't listen to it (too much embarrassment squick), but I can't stop iconing it (Bai Yu looks so lovestruck in so many of the caps omg).

I have a lot of free time over the holidays, so I always appreciate it when there's more to do rather than less. Last year, we had an icon gift exchange, which was fun, for example.

At icontalking, I was asked to extend the deadline into January, and the current challenge is not icons but textures, so we don't have a challenge there running, either. (Which I intend as an argument for you running one, so we don't have even fewer. :))

But if you're concerned that you yourself will not have the time to run a challenge, what's always good and takes up a lot of time and really profits from a lot of participants is bestof_icons, so maybe point people towards that instead?

Oh, and if you still want to post a poll, I could do that for you, no problem. Now or in the future, just ask. I'm not reliable enough with my time to post regular challenges/reminders, but I can do specific things, no problem.

You hosted a gift exchange at icontalking dreamwidth last year? I must have missed it.
At lands_of_magic there are a few challenges for icons, graphics or writing going on right now. :) You only have to participate once per round to stay on a team.

You probably saw the comment already, but never mind, you don't need to do a poll. Once I think of the right theme, I can post it later next week so and if it's a longer challenge it'll end in January instead asking everyone to enter Xmas week or on New Year's Eve.

No, tinyumbrella hosted it, so it must have been either here or at fandom10in30. Unless it was on lj somewhere? I forget.

I looked up fandom10in30, and that had a different (but also fun) cap exchange "wrap up" activity, which I liked. And it already provided me with the first ten fandoms for my 100fandoms table. :DD (Which is almost done! 2 icons to go and 15 days left!)

Good point, thanks. But I gave up on landcomms. I feel compelled to win and participate in every challenge, and it stresses me out. I think I'm too competitive for them. :)

You're right, I looked in the archives there was a secret Santa here, but it was in 2017. I liked the fandom screencaps exchange activity at fandom10in30 but I think it's probably too late to have any December holiday gifting challenge now, I didn't plan for it in time and it's a lot of organizing.
