Thank you! The coloring in that one drove me crazy. The muted grey was the only thing that worked in the end. :)

The fake snow one is really cute! Hmmm, the crop is not really correct for the medium shot and crowded theme, but I didn't ever say I'd the evaluate icons and disqualify icons. All the entries are getting in this time. :)
But, you'vw reminded me about this kind of rule, so I will add it to the challenge posts from now on. I have never even posted anywhere that icons that break the stealing and content rules, would be disqualified from the contests anywhere in any of the rules. D'oh!

Funnily, I don't mind my icons being disqualified, but when I'm the mod, I have a hard time actually telling people when their icons don't fit the theme. I've had to do it a handful of times, and it bothers me more from the mod side of things.

Yeah, I don't like to examine icons to disqualify them for being off-prompt, either. I'll likely do it only for cheating and content. Maybe I will if the colors are really off for a palette theme, like a green icon instead of a purple icon. I think rules for fitting the prompts really matter if it's land community because it's a game, where challenges earn team points, but not so much for an icontest.

Yes, that makes sense. And I think also when there's voting involved, it's fair to the other participants to disqualify icons that obviously don't fit the theme - it's the general principle of encouraging and affirming people who do read the rules and work within the parameters of the challenge.

True. I haven't ever had a participant totally ignore the themes/prompts all together, as far as I can remember anyways. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I've had several occasions at your_favourites where people entered too many icons, or icons of too many different things where only two are allowed each round, and some where people simply entered something that contradicted the rules that I posted - like icon a movie when the theme was tv show, or something like that. I'm sure none of them did it maliciously, they just didn't read the rules.
